Backtracking.......
So I have obviously been really bad at keeping a blog. I guess for the longest time I felt like my life was kinda dull and I didn't really have anything to blog about......but I was wrong. As I go back and read some of my posts, I realize that we may not be going on long fancy holidays or doing something spectacular with the kids every weekend but we are making memories, good memories that I don't want to forget. So here's the plan! I have been good at taking pictures! Yah me! So over the next few months (summer), I will be going through my pictures, uploading to here, and start recording our family memories. I know what you're thinking...... I've said this before. This time I'm going to do it. I've realized how important our memories are, and I have become so forgetful. Plus, it's going to be fun! I'm also, in between all of the updates, going to start doing more regular posts about life in general. So get ready, you're about to hear a lot more from me! :)

Another school year has come to an end....
How crazy is that?? I still feel like I'm panicked about Miles starting grade one..... And he's done! Miles has had a fantastic year! He has grown so much this year, come out of his shell. His teacher this year was Mme Charlebois. I was a bit worried about that as most of his friends ended up in Mme Knewell's class. He did fine though. Was able to make new friends and maintain old friendships. He was awarded student of the month twice this year, so proud of himself. And another year end award! This year it was an athletic award!! (Last year it was an achievement award). Never thought I'd see Miles get an athletic award. He is really becoming his own person. He has taken a strong liking to hockey this winter. Watches as many games as he can. Has developed quite the bond with poppa over the hockey! I love hearing them talk on the phone. I wish we could visit poppa more often. We registered Miles in karate this winter. He seems to be enjoying it, even though it's hard work. I think the karate will really help him become more focused, stronger, more disciplined. He is also playing soccer this summer! So much fun watching him. He loves it! We are looking forward to a fun filled summer!
Grace has also had a great year in grade 3. She busted her butt in June to get an attendance certificate, and she did it! She is so proud of herself! And Mike and I are so proud of her! We framed it and put it on the wall. Sometimes you really have to celebrate the small achievements. She has a very busy summer coming up and is looking forward to every minute of it.
Can't wait to see what the new school year brings!
