DINOSAURS!!

Yup, DINOSAURS!!  This is how we spent our day today!  Took the day off work so Grandma and I could take Miles to Science North to see the Dinosaurs.  It was so much fun.....but Miles was was a little nervous around the big guys!

It was really something seeing these things.  They were huge!!!  All motorized and set up with sensors so when you walk past them they move and roar!!  I'm not sure if it was the moving or the roaring that made Miles the most nervous.....but I guess if you look at the size difference it was probably both!!  hehe....

All in all Science North and the Dinosaurs were once again a hit!  We will have to go at a different time of day next visit though....We always go in the morning and the Beaver and Skunk are always sleeping.  I'd like Miles to be able to see them awake.  Next time it will be an afternoon visit.  Hmmmm, didn't get to see the flying squirel  this time either....

Snow....

Well I guess it was too good to be true.....It snowed again.  Not too big of a deal I guess, it is only April.  It was so nice thinking that the snow would be gone at least until October.  Ah well, too good to be true.  It didn't stay so that is good.  Just been a bit cooler the last week than what we had been seeing......Mother Nature just wanted to remind us that what we had been seeing was just a treat but she is certainly still in control.

Not really much going on to talk about.....our life is far too boring, we need to start doing stuff!  Farmville and Treasure Island on facebook just doesn't cut it.

We did get a new car!  Not really new but new to us.  A 2006 Chev Impala.  Not my favorite but the payments make sense for us and Mike loves the car.  For me its all about the payment.  For a while we didn't think we would be able to get anything with a payment less than what we are paying now, so this one coming in at almost $100 less is great!  I am happy!  The next 5 yrs is going to be all about little sacrafices in order to get our lives back on track.  We can do this.........

So today my task is to clean out the van.  I think we will be taking it back to the dealer on Tuesday, we pick the car up on Monday.

And, I have to lose 10 pounds!  No problem.....haha!  Chris and Meloni are getting married on mothers day, Mike is the best man and the MC for the reception.  I love my dress but it is very fitted so I need to give myself some breathing room.  10 lbs will put me back at 140lbs which will be really nice, especially going into the summer.  WooHoo for summer!!!!

EASTER!!!!

Easter already!!!!  This year is flying by.  What a great Easter this year though!  First of all, the weather has been amazing!!!  The temp on Saturday was 26, which was 12 degrees higher than the last record which was set back in the 60's sometime!!!  We have no snow at all, and haven't for a few weeks now!  I don't every remember a time that the kids could do an Easter egg hunt outside!!  Grace was bugging all day on Saturday to go to the beach!  She couldn't understand that yes, it was very nice outside, but the lake water would still be freezing.  We did go and play at the park though and she was able to go down to the beach and feel the water.  Miles is loving being able to play outside....all day long, and man can he get dirty!!  The kids got new bikes from Grandma Claire so we will be spending some time learning how to ride them.  Miles's bike is still a bit to big for him so he may stick to the tricycle for this year.  Grace is a bit nervous on her bike, she will have to learn how to use her brakes to control the speed of the bike.  If we can get them riding we will have a good summer!  Jazz is also loving the nice weather.  He is an outside dog at heart I think.  He just likes to be outside as much as he can.  It's too bad the back deck gets so hot during the day because he would probably spend the entire summer out there.    But I will still have to keep him in the house during the day while we are at work.  Poor puppy.  Renee came for a visit this weekend too!!  Yahhhh!!!  Miles loves his big sister.  I love having all of my kids home, I really miss that.

We had Easter dinner here this year, and it was really nice.  Mikes moms birthday was on Sunday as well so we did a Easter/Birthday dinner.  Debra and David came and Mikes nephew Shaun and his girlfriend and the 4 girls.  The kids played so well together but I think Miles felt a bit out numbered with all of those girls around!  All in all it was a great day!
