I'm missing everything.......!!!!
Ok so really.......it's almost the end of January!!????? And I haven't posted any updates......???? What have I been doing???? I don't even know where to begin. Christmas!!!! Yahhhh!!!! Christmas was amazing. Miles was so much fun this year! He was all about the gifts, go figure. I loved every minute with him...my little man. He is growing up so fast. So mom came up to spend some time with us which was really nice. Renee of course was in Florida....I think it snowed!!!! Haha Renee!!! Serves you right for choosing Florida over us for Christmas!! wink wink. Love ya babe! Michelle and Alex were here which was very nice. I think it was a bit different for Alex, he's still trying to figure this Christmas thing out. Of course Mike and I went a little overboard again this year. I know it's only once a year but I think next year we will have to tone things down a bit.
And then it was the boys Birthday!!! Miles is 3 already....OMG....Where is the time going? He is growing up so fast. I am excited that he is growing up but at the same time I miss the baby. So ya, moving right along, Miles is 3!!! AND...... Drumroll please......WE HAD A PARTY FOR HIM!!!! The boy did not miss out this year, we made sure of that. He invited some friends, we met at McDonalds in WalMart for lunch, then it was off to Build a Bear. They marched up the mall hall like a little parade, with Miles in the lead. He popped into HMV to grab Michelle on the way by, she had to come and build a bear too. It was so cute and the kids had so much fun. I was so happy that we did this for him. It meant a lot to me.
And then...just a short 2 weeks after the big birthday came school registration! WHAT???? My baby is going to start school? I must admit, I'm terrified. French immersion, full days, 5 days a week, junior kindergarten. Yup, I'm terrified. I don't know that he isn't ready but I don't know that he is ready. Don't get me wrong, he is smart as a whip but he still is not at all interested in any sort of group activity. I don't know if that is a standard that can be used to judge him but it still makes me question if he is ready or not. He seemed to like the class room. To me it was very crowded. I can't imagine what it will be like with 20 kids running around. But hey, what do I know. He spotted the playground outside almost immediately! Was pretty excited about that! It's kinda nice, the playground is just for the jr and sr kindergarten children. Grace is very excited that Miles will be going to the same school as her! She was very proud to give him the tour. So next year should be fun and interesting.
And now here we are, at the end of January already. Time is going by so fast. Michelle is registered and accepted to a school in Vaughan. She will be moving down in August sometime. I'm not really ready for that either. The kids are all growing up so fast, it's scary. And yes, at the same time, I am so proud of my girls. They do things in their own time but they are out there getting stuff done. Trying to create a great future for themselves. I am very proud of both of them.
So I guess pictures would be my next order of business. I still haven't posted any pictures of Jazz. What a great dog he is turning out to be. He is most certainly a part of our family now. Our gentle giant! Miles loves playing with him and I swear he can do almost anything to Jazz and the dog will just lie there and take it. Jazz is exactly what this little boy of ours needed. They are best buds! Ok, so pictures will be next!
